Pongo helps real-world mahjong players coordinate meetups with friends. These terms explain the rules for using the app and website.

Pongo is operated by Outergy Group ("Pongo," "we," "us"). By using Pongo, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

Use of Pongo

You may use Pongo to create a profile, connect with friends, coordinate mahjong meetups, chat with your groups, and record games. You are responsible for the information you add and the messages you send.

Accounts

You must sign in with Apple and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple account secure. You may delete your Pongo account in the app from Profile, or contact support@pongo.ing for help.

SMS terms

By providing your phone number in the Pongo app, you agree to receive text messages from Pongo, including one-time verification codes and game invitations triggered by other users. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Community rules

Do not use Pongo to harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, defraud, or harm other people. Do not post illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or abusive content. Group chat is for coordinating real play with people you know or choose to connect with.

User content

You keep ownership of the profile information, messages, photos, and game records you add to Pongo. You give us permission to host, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to run the app.

Reports and blocking

Pongo includes tools to report group chat messages and block users. We may review reports and remove content or accounts that violate these terms or create risk for other users.

Photos and scoring

Pongo may help identify a winning hand from a photo and suggest a score. Suggestions can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing and editing game records before saving them.

No emergency or professional service

Pongo is a coordination tool, not an emergency, safety, legal, financial, or professional service. Use common sense when meeting people in person.

Availability

We work to keep Pongo reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change as the product improves.

Intellectual property

Pongo, the Pongo name, app design, website, and related materials belong to Outergy Group. Mahjong names, traditions, and rules belong to the communities and organizations that steward the game. Pongo does not claim ownership of mahjong itself.

Termination

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or create legal or security risk. You may stop using Pongo at any time.

Disclaimers

Pongo is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Pongo and Outergy Group will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will update the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide notice in the app or on the website.
